Privacy Policy

Version 2026-07-06 · Written for Canadian visitors under PIPEDA

Who we are

ApiroApp ("the platform", "we") operates a referral-marketplace hub used by businesses ("workspaces"), their employees and members, and referrers who share offers with people they know. This policy is written to meet the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), Canada's private- sector privacy law, and applies to everyone whose information passes through the platform — including members of the public who never create an account.

What we collect, and why

We only collect what a given purpose actually needs:

  • Account holders (business owners, employees, referring members): name, email, phone and the activity needed to run your cabinet — offers you manage or share, leads tied to your account, and your reward or settlement ledger.
  • People who submit a lead through a public referral link or a mini-offer page: name, phone and/or email, and any details you type into the request form (city, notes, uploaded files, answers to the business's custom questions). We collect this to deliver your request to the business named on the page and, where the request came through a referral link, to attribute it to the person who referred you so their reward can be tracked.

Your consent

Before a public request form can be submitted, you must tick a checkbox confirming you agree to the Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy and consent to your details being shared as described here. We record the time of that consent and the version of this policy you saw, alongside the request, so we can always show what you agreed to. You may withdraw consent to future contact at any time — see "Withdrawing consent" below — though this does not undo a request already delivered to a business.

Who sees what

  • The business behind the offer you contacted receives your full request (contact details, city, notes, uploads and answers) so it can follow up.
  • If you came through a member's referral link, that member's account is credited with the lead for reward purposes — they see that a lead exists and its status, but a "silent" (anonymous) link never reveals the referring member's identity to you, the visitor.
  • We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with anyone outside the business you contacted and, where applicable, the referrer's attribution record described above.
  • A business's public offer and referral pages never display any account holder's personal data beyond what that person has chosen to share (e.g. a logo or display name).

Cookies and tracking

Visiting a referral link sets one first-party cookie, ref_attr, for up to 30 days. It stores which referral link (and, if present, which marketing campaign tags) brought you to the page, so that if you come back later and submit a request without the link's code in the URL, the request can still be attributed correctly. It does not identify you personally and is never used to track you across unrelated sites. No third-party advertising or analytics cookies are set on public pages.

Emails, and CASL

Account holders receive transactional emails needed to run the service (lead updates, invitations, payout and security notices) and may also receive marketing emails about offers from businesses they are connected to. Under Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), every marketing email identifies its sender and includes a working unsubscribe link; clicking it stops further marketing email from that business, processed within 10 business days and no later than 60 days after the request. People who submit a public lead receive, at most, a confirmation and status updates about that specific request.

Retention

We keep lead and account records for as long as the account is active and for a reasonable period after, to support accounting, dispute resolution and fraud prevention (e.g. reward ledger entries, which businesses may need for tax records). When a business or member account is deleted, we remove personal information that is no longer required for these purposes.

Withdrawing consent, access, and complaints

You may withdraw consent to further contact, ask what personal information we hold about you, request a correction, or ask that it be deleted, subject to our retention needs above, by emailing anton.k@quotelikepro.com. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca).
